OVERVIEW
Edward Scott Rickter is a licensed Real Estate Broker in TX and CA, and an NCARB certified licensed architect in CA and AZ. He holds a five-year undergraduate degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo CA, and an MBA from California State University Long Beach. Additional studies include art and architecture at the famed E’cole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France, and the New York Institute of Photography, prior to graduating with a bachelors in architecture in 1980, and later with a Masters in Business Information Systems in 1998. Mr. Rickter's technology background spans four decades, and involves applying real-world 3D CAD / BIM / WEB technologies in architecture, engineering, construction, and satellite broadcasting between 1985 through 2008. The business focus changed heavily to real estate sales, consulting, and teaching from 2009 through 2022. Educational subject matter expertise includes real estate development, E-Commerce, AEC BIM production, finance, and business case studies. Teaching venues include instructor-led class room settings, speaking engagements, and one-on-one tutoring for private, post secondary and college campus courses. Mr. Rickter is a former adjunct faculty member and continuing education provider for California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Business School (IS Dept.), Rio Hondo College CA, Loyola Marymount University CA, and General Contractor License School. Prior to this, Mr. Rickter was the co-founder and head instructor for two authorized CAD training and sales companies teaching Microstation and AutoCAD during the PC-CAD revolution from the mid 1980's through the mid 1990's. Mr. Rickter built two companies to within the top 10% of training sales in the U.S. (Offsite CADD-Intergraph Microstation), and the top 10% of software sales within CA (ESR Design - AutoCAD). Mr. Rickter is the principal Broker of Rickter Real Estate, and has authored over ten publications spanning the real estate industry, information technology, and financial literacy.
